A highly successful launch of a new restaurant from TV celebrity chef, Richard Phillips, 'Richard Phillips at Chapel Down' was attended by a host of celebrities and people from Kent and surrounding counties. The summer evening event attracted over 200 people to the vineyard in Tenterden where the restaurant is based.

Guests ranged from celebrities such as comedian Vic Reeves, double Olympic gold winning athlete, Dame Kelly Holmes, ITV Weather reporter Gemma Humphries to authors such as three times Man Booker nominated author, Julian Barnes and Diana Janney. They got to sample the mouth watering canapés and exquisite wine whilst being entertained by a live jazz band; which all lead to an incredible party atmosphere.

Guests also had the chance to dine at the exclusive Chef's Table to sample a range of sumptuous dishes prepared by Richard and his team. Those lucky enough to dine in the exclusive sittings showed their charitable side by making contributions to Demelza House Children's Hospice exceeding £1000.

Richard Phillips commented "The launch was a huge success; everyone involved in this project has worked really hard to make tonight an incredible achievement. Everyone who came along had a wonderful time. I'm delighted that we have also raised a significant contribution for the Demelza House Charity."
